1.    Amazon's massive deforestation would make global climate change even worse. Brazil's Bolsonaro should abandon this destructive idea.

·     Amazon rain forests’ deforestation could accelerate the already dire effects of climate change If the President of Brazil allows commercial companies to wipe out large chunks of the forest. With oceans warming up faster than scientists anticipated, the deforestation of the Amazon would cause an even greater effect on the already speedy effects of climate change, such as water levels rising and strength of hurricanes. This decision will affect not only Brazil’s future but the world with it.

2.     Most CEOs say their companies are trying hard to attract ‘Gen Z'

·     Since Gen Z is familiar like millennials with technology, UHealth is trying to make healthcare easy to access through virtual products i.e. making clinic appointments, accessing medical information, and communicating with healthcare providers all online. The goal is to have easy access for Gen Z’s, and numerous efforts have been extended towards making this transition a smooth one. The culture of the company must change to be able to the please another set of people with different preferences on how things are accessed.
·     Making healthcare benefits truly accessible to Gen Z’s and making sure this generation knows they are accessible and worth their time. Product knowledge and quality.

3.     Carnival passengers say they were hurt when ship tilted, lawsuit says


·     Three passengers aboard a Carnival cruise were injured due to the ship ‘listing’ (when the boat shifts to one side) for 60 seconds. Other passengers reported minor injuries but these three passengers are filing a lawsuit under negligence. Carnival claims the ship listed due to its fin stabilizers malfunctioning but passengers are suing based on the allegations that the company did not train the crew on how to best maintain the stabilizers.

4.     Traveling Bandit' has robbed 7 banks from Florida to North Carolina to Utah, FBI says

·     ‘Traveling Bandit’ has robbed 7 banks across numerous state lines. This idea of breaking laws in numerous states causes there to be an issue of jurisdiction and since he has not been caught it is easily seen that the man is moving constantly. No idea of where he will rob next is in order and little information about this thief is available in order to make an arrest.
·     How will this thief be caught and if that occurs who deems jurisdiction of trying him for his crimes due to it being in numerous states
·     Banks and customers of those banks

5.     Which grocers failed inspections for bugs in pasta, cans with rodent poop on shelves?

·     Article covers numerous establishments who have been shut down due to multiple code violations. These regulations are done by the Florida Department of Agriculture and inspected by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Overall people don’t know if the stores they shop at are truly safe for there are stores that slip through the system and or revert back to old ways once reopened. These violations could be something that the store doesn’t even know about but can affect someone’s health greatly. 
·     Health violations across numerous establishments in the nation and how to make sure they are all accounted for

·     Consumers shopping at these stores and store owners that own one of these code violating establishments

    I really enjoyed reading about your local opportunities. I think you chose really good articles to write about. The article about the Carnival cruise worried me a little because I will be on one this year. I am glad you chose to also write about deforestation because climate change is a major problem, and the only way to fix and it is to share information about it.
