My Bug List

1.    When people chew with their mouth open 

·     An individual could have some type of medical effects and cause them to have to chew with their mouth open.

2.    Long lines at Chick-fil-a

·     Chick-Fil-a has long lines because it is both delicious and convenient and reasonably priced. 

3.    Overly priced groceries at Whole Foods

·     Whole Foods Is expensive due to the fact that their produce and meats are GMO free and better quality. 

4.    When people don’t yield at a traffic circles

·     Some people don’t know all the traffic/driving rules and some may have different rules based on where they are from.  

5.    When people park like they are the only car on earth

·     Some people want to make sure no one hits their car.

6.    Movie snack prices 

·     This is how the industry makes their money, so they must inflate prices.

7.    Computer case quality (constantly breaking)

·     Quality is okay but may break due to the person who owns the case and how they are treating the product.

8.    When my scooter doesn’t start

·     The scooter may need an oil change or it hasn’t been ridden in a couple of months.

9.    When there is no more scooter parking at library west

·     More students have scooters due to the fact that car parking is much more of a hassle; also, many students get to school early for the very reason that scooter parking is limited. 

10.  When the WIFI is not connecting to my laptop at the library

·     UF is switching to a new WIFI software, this transition causes some to have connection issues in certain parts of the library.

11.   How small Gainesville closets are for how much you pay for your room

·     Space to build is limited, in order for the leasing company to make a profit of some type they must distribute the space allotted carefully.

12.  How Gainesville has nothing to do except eat and go to bars

·     Gainesville is a college town, If better shopping areas were to open the odds are money would be lost due to the fact that most students are in town from a fall to spring basis.

13.  When people don’t throw their trash away, with a trash can in a 5-step radius

·     Some people don’t see the trash can or are too lazy to throw it away.

14.  How expensive textbooks are

·     The companies of the textbooks have to consider all the aspects of their book, whether it be paying the author, the publishing company, how useful the information is, this all goes into mind when pricing the textbook. 

15.  How hot Florida gets during the summer 

·     Florida summers have gotten hotter due to climate change and global warming, this in the end has to do with how we are treating our environments. 

16.  When I forget my charger and my computer is dying

·     Organization seems to be a lost concept when in times of stress. 

17.  Teachers who give too many assignments for a one credit class

·     Professors want to believe their course is just as important as any other course, despite their course code being lower than others and despite the credit for the class being less.

18.  How strict scooter parking citators are

·     UF holds these citators to a strict code with rules so they must abide by them, regardless of how ridiculous some of them are. 

19.  When the weather is supposed to be sunny, and it starts raining out of nowhere

·     Weather is unpredicatable and although we have weather services to help us, there is always a chance of change. 

20.  When my mechanical pencil eraser runs out 

·     A certain amount of eraser is put into the pencil, this amount works best for the company due to finances, protocol etc. 

Reflection

            This assignment was more difficult than I imagined. I knew there was plenty of things that bugged me but when asked to make a list on the spot it was harder to think of, for they weren’t happening to me right then and there. When any of these 20 things occur it’s more of an in the moment thing. However, once I got the ball rolling I began to make connections between the things that bugged me and this ended up filling up my list.
