What’s Your Secret Sauce?

16A- What’s Your Secret Sauce?

1.     Multitasker- I am Journalism major on the Pre-Optometry with an Innovation Minor. That alone is a challenge with classes very diverse from each other. This happens to challenge me to switch mentalities daily with my diverse set of courses and would help me adapt to whatever comes my way as an entrepreneur.
Prioritize- With this rigorous course load I have learned what assignments to take on first and what things to leave to do last in the week. As an entrepreneur you must pick and choose your battles and which ones will benefit your business.
Personable- I have had the blessing of going on multiples mission’s trips and traveling to numerous countries around the world. This has allowed me to experience all types of beliefs and people which has allowed me to accept different cultural views and will allow me to expands my horizons as an entrepreneur.
Speak My Mind- I am someone who is well known for telling people how it is. This I think is a good quality to have as a person for there is no working around anything, you get to the point and work efficiently from there in a timely manner.
Bilingual- The U.S is filled with those who speak more than one language and that is an advantage I have that even most Spanish children don’t have now a days. It is proven that those that speak another language have a better chance to get a job than those that do not. Therefore, speaking more than language as my own boss running my own business, will only strengthen my business

3.     Since the people that know me best are my family I would say that they know just about everything about me. Everything they mentioned that set me a part as a person they have seen firsthand, so all the qualities mentioned above are what they also mentioned. The most common one was that I was personable, overall volunteering and traveling has opened me up as a person and has made me grow. I do believe that all these interviews are correct for my family is just like me, very up front and if they said they believed I was good at something or stronger in a certain aspect they wouldn’t make it up. I wouldn’t change anything to the list because not only me but my interviewees see what I see.

  1. Hi Melody!

I am very impressed with the thoroughness of your five qualities and how you explained each of them. The only thing you could improve on with this assignment, and wish you did, was have a little summary after each interview reflecting on what that person said. Reading over others posts, it was interesting to see for each interview what the person thought about what the interviewee said (shocked, agreed, disagreed).

  2. Melody, I think it's awesome how you included "bilingual" on your secret sauce list! This simply makes you unique and differentiates yourself from other students around you.
